When you book travel online or directly with a hotel, commission is typically included in the price, which goes to the booking site. 

As an Independent Travel Agent, you can earn that commission back by using your own booking system. 

Whether you book for yourself, friends, family, or clients, you’ll earn commission on everything you book.

Customers typically pay for holidays through secure payment links sent directly to them. This ensures that you don’t have to handle any money or credit card details personally. 

The amount you can earn from booking travel varies, but commissions typically range from 8% to 20%. As an Independent Travel Agent, you receive 70% to 80% of that commission, which is one of the most generous splits in the travel industry. The rest goes to the host agency, Inteletravel, the largest home-based travel agency in the world. The earning potential is uncapped, so there’s significant money to be made in booking travel for others! 

Commissions are typically paid 30 to 90 days after travel has been completed. 

The host company (Inteletravel) first receives the commission, then splits it 70/30 (70% to you and 30% to them) before sending it over to you. 

Once you have earned £3500 in commissions, the company rewards you by increasing the commission split to 80/20 (80% to you and 20% to them). 

There are two separate businesses: a travel business and a marketing business. 

When you join the travel business, you book holidays and earn travel commissions. 

The marketing business, which is separate, allows you to refer friends so they can also earn from travel, opening up additional revenue streams for you

To get started as an Independent Travel Agent, there’s a one-time fee of £156. 

This covers your ABTA training and agent license, and your own affiliate link. 

After that, you’ll pay £46 a month, starting the month after you enrol. 

This monthly fee includes everything you need, such as insurance, your referral link, a travel booking system, a website, customer support, supplier access, and training. 

There are no additional hidden fees. 

There is no contract meaning that you can leave at any time.
